Research Interests

I am currently completing my Masters thesis on therapeutic mircoprocesses and their relationship to the therapeutic alliance. Specifically, I am engaged in creating a scale that measures client self-awareness in a moment-by-moment fashion throughout a therapy session. Using this scale, I will be able to study the different intra-session self-awareness patterns associated with high versus low alliance therapy dyads. In the future, I would like to focus on the therapeutic processes of women who have experienced trauma and currently struggle with substance abuse.
