Research Interests
My research interests include applying a social determinants of health model to the study of vulnerable populations’ access to health and related intervention services. Within this overall focus, I am especially interested in research focusing on one or more of: gender, work, stigma, substance use, parenthood and social welfare policy models.

Other Pursuits and Interests
In addition to my academic interests, I am also engaged in community services volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations (CAFCA and PEERS) and active in the service community for persons with developmental disabilities. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my young daughter.
