Victoria Smye, RN, BA, MHSc, PhD

Dr. Syme is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. Herresearch program focuses on access to mental health and addictions care with particular attention in women's mental health and Aboriginal mental health. Her recent research projects include a critical analysis of mental health policies and services that act as barriers to access to mental health services for Aboriginal peoples and projects exploring Aboriginal
women's experiences of leaving intimate partner violence and of mental health and addictions care.
